Strawberry Social

Join us this year for the Strawberry Social.   Sunday June 23rd.

Once again, a great Strawberry Social on the lawn at the Harley Museum.  There was a great turn-out – we didn’t quite get to 100 people,  but pretty close.  ok, well,, at least 80 people were there.

We had some great entertainment, starting out with Dan Roswell and a some folk songs before dashing off to Paris where he had a previous engagement.

Nicole Kloepfer gave us a couple sessions with her saxophone.  Nicole is a continual favourite with our crowd — she has been playing at our events for, what , 15 years,  more?  We love to have you.

New to us were Olivia Hadfield with a couple songs for us, and Jace (?) who is just starting a career on the drums.

Then Gail &  Dan Clement with his guitar and some tunes from our youth;

Finishing up our day was James Fisher who told the tale of Jesse James and “Mr. Richardson’s” year of adventure in, of all places, Harley,  then up to Princeton, maybe to Guelph.  It seems that he was only in Ontario for about a year before heading back to Missouri, to be shot at the young age of 35.

The 50/50 draw was won by Brenda Kloepfer, who gave it back to the museum.  Thank you, Brenda.

Thank you to all who came out to support us. We hope you enjoyed the cake, ice cream and the strawberries.

Thank you to all the members who baked cakes,  cut up strawberries, served strawberries, cleaned up.  The museum is better for all this help from volunteers.
